Caller from AGL said something about changing my plan and asked me to verify my name and address. Then sent me a verification code which I didn't give as it felt suspicious. Had a chat after to AGL through their app, who confirmed that it was a legit call from their sales teams.

I pulled the plug on my NBN landline a few months ago because it was only being used as a call number for spurious junk calls like this one. This is a scam company. They try to sell you a hot water system, but of course it's a scam. What really happens is that they ask for access to your PC or for your credit card details. Either way, you never get a hot water system. Looks like they are exploiting a Voip number from Emerge Internet, so they probably have a block of similar numbers. Just hang up and block.

The e-mail was supposedly from Norton Life-Lock Protection Serves based at 25 Grenfell Street Adelaide SA 5000 Australia for a subscription renewal. A total scam because I don't use NORTON. Please block this number.

A text advising me that my road usage payment was overdue and it had a link. Clearly a scam as there’s no such thing as “road usage tolls “ in Victoria.

BEWARE: SMS may read similar to "[Telstra Plus] Your partial points are about to expire. Please redeem your rewards immediately, as they will be invalid after the expiration date." and contains a link to a malicious website.

automated recorded bot left voicemail saying that my phone will be out of service. Then it leaves options to speak to someone in English or Chinese. Then a message in Chinese. This is the same scam as (03) 5295 0156.

Text message says it is from Centrelink, giving me an appointment at a time I cannot attend. Says to call 1800 110 608 if I can't attend. Not their usual number. It also does not say Reminder at the top, and it does not say a Services Australia representative will be calling me. Looks dodgy to me.
I note that all the comments saying this is legit are anonymous, so could be scammers.

No voice on the line, no message left, does not answer returned call. Block it and don't give them a chance to collect your info or to sample your voice for misuse. Our phone system has become a full priced joke.
