Texted me sending me a phone number for suicide prevention. I have never called this phone number before and I got a random message I think it was automated sending me a phone number to call for suicide prevention and telling me that there’s people to help.

When I answered call, I got recorded message from Brenda at the ANZ Bank about a recent transaction on my debit account- press 1 to authorize or press 2 to dispute. I don't have an ANZ account but pressed 2 out of curiosity. Got Raj with an Indian accent, supposedly from customer service. Called him a scammer and hung up

Have called me almost daily since 4th April 2024. Always with is First Name Last Name available (it's my younger brother's name) and i say no, and tell them to stop calling me. This is Credit Corp - debt collection agency attempting to recover money by blowing out the phones of third parties that may or may not know the subject of the alledged debt.

They attempt to call parents, siblings, cousins, neighbours, work colleagues, anyone even remotely associated with the subject or their lives in the hope they can get to them. What they do is illegal, and they can safely...

l'm on the scam side of this debate as l have no dealings whatsoever with any Suncorp company.

I called AGL at 131245 later and asked them if they called me earlier. AGL said they did call me and my gas plan has been changed to the lowest available rates. Seems like that's a genuine call.

Its a legitimate company people. They fix and replace applicances, and are used all over Australia by hundreds of real estate agents. If you arent answering their calls then don't whine about your agent not fixing whatever you complained about.... they are calling to book a time to attend.

Claimed they were from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and that I had a $400+ transaction that hadn't been processed. As soon as I told him I did not have an account with CBA he hung up. It was very noisy sounding in the background and he had a non-Australian accent.

The number "1300 369 797" was quoted as a callback number from a "silent number": they tried at least 6 times over 2 days before leaving a verbal message to call back on 1300 369 797 stating they were from the National Bank, with whom I have never had any association

I have nearly been caught previously with scammers with prefix numbers (02) and (03)... probably where most overseas scammers channel their nastiness through. The first line of defence (from scammers), is simple...DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL!! Check the phone number with sites like "Reverse Lookup". Stay safe and 'UN-SCAMMED!'
